Another barrier was broken yesterday

The inaugural parade did NOT disappoint! I love marching bands!! I get a chill hearing the drums and horns. Especially bagpipes - goosebumps aplenty. But the Gay and Lesbian Marching Band made me cry - another big ole barrier smashed to bits. Did anyone else think the Azalea Maids following them were more of their unit? Sadly, no. Please jump to my little sister's place to see her 7-year-old's artistic rendering of the parade.

ooh, i'm the first one posting. i love it. ok, this is the funniest thing ever, because we were talking about these damn women from alabama and how they represent the south and slavery and a period that black folks would soon forget. and we could not figure out how they got in the parade. and then the fact taht they are after the gay, lesbian and bisexual marching band is a hoot. you know how "tolerant" alabama folks are--and these women were probably shocked!
