Harmful and Boring

Geez-a-loo I love Google Image Searches! Just type in some random work like "boring" and see what pops up. It's like a playground, I'm tellin ya!

This one was titled "harmful and boring" - that about sums up my life right now. An extreme state of stress over housing and finances juxtapositioned beside the ever-present laundry, dishes, and family duties.

By day I appear as mild-mannered Mnmom, going about my routine with a smile and a dust rag. Pumping gas in the car, marinating the chicken, running reports at work.

But by night I'm become SUPER-ANXIETY-BROAD! Able to skip entire hours of sleep while staring at the ceiling shouldering wave after wave of panic! Watch her grapple with the dark demons of stress and worry in the cloak of night! See her sidekick JOHNNY C do exactly the same while working endless hours by day! How long can they last before their super powers are eradicated? How will they resist the call of the dark forces??

Stay Tuned!

That's weird. I just wrote a post about sleep-deprivation because I can't turn off my brain at night. The sad thing about me, is that I don't even have the stress you guys have either.

Interesting as I just read on another blog about Ambien (was it Dr. Monkey?) and had such a long comment on why we can't sleep that I'm thinking of turning it into a blog post.

So sorry you are so stressed...this too shall pass! Things are usually not as bad as they seem at 3 a.m.

I've become somewhat of an expert at laying awake while the load of life suffocates me. Maybe we could start a book club and call each other to discus at 3AM!

I've been having trouble sleeping, but only because some douchebag decide to move out at three in the freaking morning.

Smelling lavender essential oil has helped me get to sleep, but the middle of the night restlessness is a pain in the butt. I don't care what my doctor says, I went back to my one benedryl at bed time. Works for me.

Tylenol PM will help. Don't kid yourself, even those without stress are up at various times if they are over 45. And some of us aren't just up in the middle of the night, we're sweating head to toe, too!

Hang in there, and we wish you all the best in home searching!!!!! LOVE YOU AND SO WISH I HAD A MAGIC WAND RIGHT NOW. First I'd give myself two more inches in height, THEN I'd give you guys a nice new home and secure jobs!

Silly me, I just turn to a boring TV channel and hope that works. Maybe I need to actually get out of bed and computerize. Interesting. Have you tried the "images" search at bing dot com? So far, I like their selection.

Here's what I think. I think you are a FREAKING SAINT for leaving nice comments on my blog when I freak out about TOTALLY NORMAL NON-FREAK-OUT-WORTHY life events such as sending my babies to kindergarten and nursery school for the first time. When you have ACTUAL things to worry about at nighttime. Sheesh. I'm a total chump! And then you offer to babysit! Good Lord! Are you an angel from above? Or what?

By the way, I am riveted, however, by this whole story. I am dying for it to work out for you, and am dying to see how it will. There must be a happy ending somewhere here for you. What will it be? It must be somewhere. If it helps any, I think about you and your family every day!

Shan - it WILL have a happy ending because there is no alternative!

I've been up at night lately - my own back pain and my youngest has yet another ear infection- this one has been a real bugger. But I'll take some timeout of my own pity party and send good karma your way.

Keep your chin up and carry on!
