What year is it?

What is WRONG with the GOP? They think it's still 1964.
"The mayor of Los Alamitos is coming under fire for an e-mail he sent out that depicts the White House lawn planted with watermelons, under the title "No Easter egg hunt this year."
Go read the story here.

This bigoted nonsense must stop right the hell now!! And if you're going to be a racist cretin, at least grow up and quit using those tired old jokes.

The knuckle dragging racists are easy to spot. Unfortunately, there is still a segment of so called "polite" society that thinks jokes like this aren't racist because they're "funny." Have you been on a golf course lately, or gone to a family reunion? To paraphrase that great quote you once had on the side of your blog, speak out against this shit, even though your voice might shake.

As a fellow Iowan, I didn't even understand that joke the first time I heard it. My Nordic-Anglo family's farm also had watermelons. And they aren't ripe at Easter time.

It's a dumb joke.

Ack this makes me sick. I saw it elsewhere today.

WTF is wrong with people????

What morons. Then the guy had the nerve to claim he didn't know watermelons were a stereotype.

Uh, der. What an ignorant ass. It blows me away that people still think that's funny. It's so archaic. Obama's from Hawaii. How much watermelon do they grow there? And if he didn't know watermelons were a stereotype, then what would be the point of it?

That's a damned shame! And then they apologize, don't be sorry cause you got caught. Change your way of thinking in the first place so that when you get something like this, you don't think it's funny and e-mail it around!!! Those damned GOPers, can we just put 'em on a ship and send 'em all back to Africa for racial sensitivity training?

It's just unreal the amount of ignorance out there in this day and age......ugh!
