I am feeling incredibly sad following Natasha Richardson's death. How completely tragic for her family. We had to take my rather young mother off life support ten years ago. You never forget something like that. But a young woman of only 45, with her kids in their early teens, just out enjoying a ski vacation. It's just too sad. Sure makes one sit up and take notice of this "talk and die" syndrome.
I was first introduced to her in "The Parent Trap" which was one of my twins favorites. I was just smitten with this darling British actress and have loved her work ever since. My heart goes out to her family, and especially her children.

It was such an unbelievably freakish accident, wasn't it?! So sad.
I know, I was very affected by it as well. Not only for her but also for Liam Neeson - I love him too. It is just so sad. And it happened when she was on a beginner's slope taking a ski lesson! It's not as if she took some big risk.
It seems we have quite a bit in common. Having to remove life support is so very hard...and then living with that decision can be tough also. this woman was a vibrant, healthy person and this is all too tragic.
That was so weird. My girls were obsessed with The Parent Trap when they were little, so we watched it many times. Another lesson for us all to appreciate everything we have while we have it.
I was so sad last night when I read about it online.
My girls were also all over the Parent Trap movie, maybe it was the twin thing, but we love it, and still know most lines from it. I remember her from Nell too.
It does make you think of how precious life really is.
To leave behind mother, husband and kids is just unspeakably sad.
She was amazingly talented we are lucky she mastered all theatrical venues while she could.
What the devil is a ski helmet? I had never even heard of such a thing.
Very very sad, way too young. My heart just breaks for her sons.
It is sad. VERY!
I am still getting over it. I didn't know her before this accident, but any time a mother is tragically taken away from her children like this, that hurts. As moms we feel the pain. Our prayer is that we live long enough to see our kids through adulthood (for some kids that journey lasts 40 or 50 years)! So it hurts me as a mom and my heart goes out to the kids who are still grieving and will be for some time to come!
I am feeling incredibly sad following Natasha Richardson's death.
