NEW YORK — Saying he was "deeply sorry and ashamed," Bernard Madoff pleaded guilty Thursday to pulling off perhaps the biggest swindle in Wall Street history and was immediately led off to jail in handcuffs to the delight of his seething victims.
Are you Bernie? Are you really deeply sorry and ashamed of what you've done? Or are you just deeply sorry you got caught? Something tells me if you hadn't been fingered, you'd still be running that Ponzi scheme for all it's worth while bathing in champagne and dining on truffles.

I think he pled out - hoping they would leave the remaining assets to his wife. His wife has requested that she be allowed to keep the penthouse and the $60+ million in assets. NOT!

I'm glad he's where he belongs. I saw how some 90 year old guy lost his life's savings in Madoff's scheme and had to come out of retirement and work as a greeter at Walmart. Sickening.
What a dick! Talk is cheap, if he thought he could get away with it, he'd still be bilking people of their life savings. It will be interesting to see who he hooks up with in prison.

Despite his slimey-ness I have a hard time mustering up sympathy for people who lost millions that they really, really worked sooo hard for.
I have more sympathy for the charities and pension funds that were suckered in than the individuals.
Talk about your scum of the earth. No way he feels as bad about what he did as compared to how bad it was to get caught...............ass!
