A Happy Migraine

Geez-a-loo I hate to post an image like this when we're all still having OBAMAPHORIA!!

I've had a killer migraine ever since election night. Too many emotions, not enough water, not enough sleep, too much crying, too much laughing. Too much trying to control my car on I-35 while also wanting to honk and wave at everyone I see, and while tearing up over yet another giddy American being interviewed on NPR.

Did anyone else cry when hearing that villagers in Kenya paraded to the grave of Barack Obama Sr. and sang "you have sired a King"?

On election day, during a break between door knocking for Obama, we saw a lawyer who will probably be helping us file Chapter 7 bankruptcy. How's that for yet another emotion-laden experience? I think it may be time to start that career as a drug-addicted alcoholic that I've been putting off for so long.

Oh honey, I am so sorry to hear that. I hope your head clears and I wish I had a money tree to give you.

You shall overcome!

Jay, so sorry about the migraine. I know what you mean about the mix of intense emotions. I was too much. I'm glad it's over, and that the election turned out the way it did for the presidency. I don't know what I'd be like today if the result had been otherwise.

Sorry about the bankruptcy, too. Prayers for you about that. Sadly, you have lots of company. I hope that by now your migraine is gone.

I had not heard that about the villagers. Choked me up when I read it. My thoughts are with you. Hold on to the light. "Still in Iowa" j

Mnmom........ouch on the migraine, I hope it has subsided a bit now. I had those streams of emotions too, all day yesterday, like I couldn't imagine all that had been accomplished in our country.

I'm sorry about your finances, you are not alone, but I'm hoping you are able to work through it and move ahead.

I really enjoy your blog......

I'm sorry about the migraine, and sorry about the bankruptcy, and everything else that led up to it. I hope things improve for you, and for all the rest of us too.

I spent a good amount of time on the phone today with some family who are going through some bad times financially. You're not alone, that's for sure.

I'm with you through this painful personal time. And I'm with you through the joy of Obama's victory. As with Jay Simser, I learned the story of Kenya from you just now--and I teared. Peace.

Hope the migraine goes away...and sorry about the bankruptcy thing, but the upside is that you regain some breathing room. Nothing to be ashamed of in today's world. I wish you luck...and a lottery!!

well, the good news is that today the news came out that women who suffer from migraines are less likely to develop breast cancer.

damned if i know the connection there but maybe there's something good you can take away from that.

i'm sorry about the bankruptcy. these are such awful times, economically.

Laurie - that would be good news, but I've already HAD breast cancer. I'm always the exception, never the rule!

Argh, so sorry. Come on over on Tuesday and we'll talk and consume things we shouldn't.

damn, i thought that was the case as i was clicking on PUBLISH but i wasn't entirely sure.

well, then, you are the oddball, i'm afraid.

excedrin works for my migraines. and if it doesn't, i take a flexeril. that zonks me right out.

Laurie - I am SUCH an oddball!! But a fun one, that's for sure!
