Crap that annoys me

I'm cranky today, and here's why. I know you care.

1. The upcoming shit storm over Obama's Supreme Court nominee. No matter who he nominates it's going to be everywhere ad nauseum, and we'll be subjected to yet more crapola obstruction from the GOP.

2. This ongoing financial crisis. It's been 3 stinkin years of Johnny C's underemployment, and my hours being cut. Would someone just FIX this already and get all these Americans who really and truly want to work, BACK to work? And I don't mean minimum wage jobs.

3. Teenage girls - 'nuff said.

4. The rust spots on the van. Get this - I got an estimate for trying to arrest those two 5-square-inches of rust on the fenders and the body shop wanted $2500!! Yes, that's two thousand five hundred dollars. The van's not even worth that much. So I'll continue to drive the white trash limo rust and all.

5. The nail in the van tire. Yeah, that too.

6. The phone. It rings all the time and it's usually telemarketers.

7. Gas prices. Anybody with 2 brain cells knows this is all about oil company profits prior to Americans going for Hybrids. They know oil is on the way out, and they are going to soak us while the soaking is still good.

8. Teabaggers. Idiots.

9. Tonight is the return of GLEE and I have to go to a meeting.

Maybe tomorrow I'll return to my usual grateful nature. But today I feel like blowing something up, or getting into a bar fight.

Blow up the phone!

We've trained our children to ignore the phone ringing- nobody around here even moves until we hear a voice we know on the machine.

Oh- and Hulu is about the bestest thing EVER- Glee is available on it and you can watch it with just a couple commerical breaks. I no longer care about the evening tv schedule because most shows are available through Hulu or the stations website. But of course, when we figured we'd drop the cable to save money, Mediacom says the rates on phone/internet go up and it's about a five to 10 dollar difference. Not worth the hassle. grrrrrrr.

Believe it or not, Glee ALWAYS improves my mood. People probably think my love of Glee is pathological, but in all honesty last fall when I was having a hard time with various things, Wednesday nights literally helped me get through. So I'm glad you got home in time for Glee last night. Also? I am a BIG fan of turning off the ringer on the phone. I do it all the time!

And I heard on the news this morning that "SURPRISE" the legislation to help homeowners in foreclosure didn't actually help!

Sorry - you should go watch GLEE after reading my comment right there.

My bad, really. But I was kind of cranky too.

I agree so, so, so much about the economic crisis. They even just cut what they give me for donating plasma by $10/week. Wow. How po' white trash do I sound? Maybe I should start watching Glee too.

Can I shout an AMEN over to your blog.

Exactly why I'm worried about having a girl, are we both going to be moody :)

Girl I'm not even watching CNN or MSNBC cause I am already tired and drained from their crazy over the top news coverage! 24-hour news is the devil. The format doesn't give them enough time to stop and focus and ask "Is this news?" They're just trying to fill time and witih any and everything they can find!!

That's the way it has been for the most part for nominees put forth by both Dems and Republicans since Bork.

Maybe we can take bets on whether the new "more profits and customers for big insurance" healthcare plan that Obama just signed really helps anyone or not.
