My strongly worded email

Hello Homeq,

I understand a local real estate agency was able to squash our short sale.

Another appraisal opinion was offered, and Homeq saw reason and agreed the short sale price offered was a good deal, But because of the wrench thrown in by Edina Realty and their asinine BPO, the buyer has backed out. Our agents are scramblinig to find another buyer, but your agency (Edina) has informed us that it's all over tomorrow.

We have experienced a horrendous job and income loss after many years of faithful mortgage payments. Immediately we contacted Homeq, but have gotten nothing but vague and ridiculous answers, indifference, lies, and the age-old run-around.

I am asking that Homeq do at least one decent thing in this nightmare: just sell as quickly as possible and call it a short sale - thereby keeping a full foreclosure away from our credit rating.

It's the absolute very least you can do, which would be the most you've done so far.

You can be fully assured I will be contacting newspapers, congress reps, senators, and anyone else who will listen to this tale of cruel corporate policy.

Sincerely,
Mnmom

I hate that you have to keep on fighting this battle- what corporate scum and the realty agency- a hex on them and 1000 generations of their offspring! Really, I wish it would end for you so you could move forward for real. What utter crap to put people through this.

I agree with kirelimel, they are being ridiculous. Peace be with you my friend.

Look lady chick, I understand this is terrible and shouldn't happen to anyone, but threatening to kill someone won't make yourself feel any better.

I'd stop with the slander before this goes to far... to far.

I personally don't see how this is Edina's fault, I really don't.

This is my first amendment right for free speech, so don't be calling me a "bitch" for speaking my mind. Although there will be some who don't read this all the way through to the end... eh, doesn't really bother me.

PS. I'm not being mean, but someone has to stick up for Edina Realty! And, like I said, I didn't slander anything in here... soooooo goodbye now!

I'm not sure I totally understood your complaint. As for you strugglin with a mortage you can't pay, is no ones fault but your own. Every state should have a phone number to call to have a mediator to help with trying to negotiate you mortgage. Whether it be reduced or put to a short sale. Purchase agreement that was made has nothing to do with a Realtor other than doing their job, trying to sell your house. You shouldn't have any judgement on the Realtor if the client cannot come thu with the loan.

Anonymous you are speaking when you should be keeping you mouth shut. You think it is okay to block sales with higher offers that don't exist until Edina realty has exclusive rights to sell so they can take all the commission? You and your friend Anne have made assumptions that all people who arrive at foreclosure do so as you say through "no one's fault but your own." If it were true that my friends squandered their money, had no savings, lived lavishly and sat back collecting unemployment while they waited for jobs to come along, or hopped on state assistance for health care when their insurance company cut them off after breast cancer, well then I wouldn't have a lot of sympathy either. But, that is NOT the case. My friends made 15 years of payments on their home and have been busting their asses to support their family and continue to pay the bills. You have wrongly assumed they are deadbeats. They are anything but deadbeats. They are hard working, honest people who have met with misfortune. My hope for you and Anne is that very soon you too may have misfortune rain down upon you and your families. If it will help you gain some compassion, then you deserve it.

Well said, MG!

By the way, first amendment rights also goes with responsibility of putting your name to your rants- hiding behind, "anonymous" just makes you sound weak.

After reading the Anonymous comments, I have but one thing to say: EDINA REALTY IS THE WORST REALTY COMPANY IN THE USA. They are morons and if they did business near me I'd be out side of their door telling people not to go in and use them. Now, Anonymous, how about you threaten me so I can take this over to my blog and blow this thing up. I got nothing so I got nothing to lose. Come on, pick a fight with me. I dare you, you lousy scummy greedy feckers.

I agree that Anonymous here does NOT know or understand the truth and full details of this family's experience and story.

You go, Mnmom! The rest of us know what you've been through, and are behind you 100%.

And P.S.: Amen to everything MichaelG said above! It drives me insane that people assume that everyone with a house in foreclosure (or soon to be) is a deadbeat who is getting what they deserve. Guess what? It can happen to you EVEN IF YOU'VE DONE NOTHING WRONG. Even if you've always been a responsible homeowner and taxpayer. Even if you're a good American and good parent and good citizen. Those who don't believe that have been incredibly fortunate that nothing of this sort has happened to them or anyone they love.

Hello Anonymous,
Next time, leave your name.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about - you don't have the full story - and you clearly don't know the facts.

And I never threatened to kill anyone. The idea is laughable. Obviously you don't understand humor. Go back and read that full paragraph again.

And I'm not slandering anyone. I've only stated facts. Facts that happened to ME, and therefore are fully MY story to tell.

PS - the rest of you . . I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

There has to be a silver lining for you soon. This is utterly insane. Your strongly worded letter is great. I hope there are positive results.

Let me know who I can write to, happy to help. MichaelG is right!

I'm anonymous, but not the anonymous one above.

I wouldn't worry too much about "slander". Do you think Edina Realty wants to further publicize their possibly sketchy actions? I know there are some decent real estate people--but many deserve their reputations of bottom feeding, self serving scum buckets.

Churlita said...

The first anonymous commenter is a total douche bag. Edina realty sucks balls. How's that for slander?

I hate cowards who leave anonymous comments and talk sh#@. If you are going to say something, at least have the cajones to leave your name. I can only assume it is someone from Edina realty, because it is such shady behavior.

Who blames someone for getting laid off from their job? Nice way to show some compassion, jerk. I think I used the word "godless" to describe Edina realty in my last comment, and it applies for that commenter too.

Cheesecake Maven said...

Just ignore the mean anonymous comments, their day will come, too. And maybe, someday, something will happen to them and it will teach them compassion for others. They obviously haven't a clue what they are talking about, just delete it their comments and be done with them. Fools. Life is way too short to mess with fools.

Dang, MNmom! I'm sorry to hear about all this! I have a friend in Minneapolis who is a very good lawyer who works in real estate law, if you need him. His name is Johann Scrimshire. Look him up.

Anonymous no. 1...it is TOO, not to in the line "to far." And what is a "lady chick"?

You are being mean and if you would take the time to go back and read MNmom's ENTIRE blog, oh yeah, in your words, "Although there will be some who don't read this all the way through to the end... eh, doesn't really bother me."

MnMom-know you are loved, respected, and have been impeccable with your word.

Ubermilf said...

I could go on in several angry paragraphs, or I could just say I stand with you, MNMom.

I stand with you, MNMom. I just wish I had more to offer than moral support, but I'm a squashed bug like you.

I am with Ubermilf...I stand strong for you and all my sisters in the same boat.

I applaud you, MNMom. Continue to fight the power!

Edina Realty is number one for a reason. They have great agents. I bought my home a little over a year ago and they were very professional. This Girl can't pay her mortgage and takes it out on an agent. Unless she knows the true intent of the agent she needs to shut her ass. Will someone please tell me what this girl did with her money she took out on her home. She owed almost 300,000. Where is that money?????? She spent it and now when the market gets depressed she has no way out. Enjoy living on the street.

Anonymous said...

After reading Michaelg blog, this guy needs his head examined. You said they paid 15 years without being late??? Why in the hell are they living on the street? They overbought... how can anyone argue that? When you buy out of your means this is a gamble your willing to take. She took it and lost and now renting. If I were her landlord I would kick her out. I know many people who are in tuff times and they get a second job, not beg beg beg for the lender to say okay to a reduced amount. I pay my bills work hard so I don't end up like this bitch, on the street. The community

Anonymous - you know so little about me and my situation and that's painfully obvious. Go volunteer somewhere and put your anger to good use. You might even develop a little compassion while you're at it.

michaelg said...

Yes, Anonymous, my blog clearly represents the rantings of a crazy person. Let's see how your cheerful commentary here compares. Hmmmm. I'd say we have a near toss up but the crazy meter is indeed tilting your your direction.
Get a clue and keep your yapper shut about things you know nothing about. Before breast cancer and job loss, this family was WELL able to afford their mortgage. So explain how that qualifies as over buying?

Shannon said...

OMG. What is wrong with Anonymous?! Is she/he insane? Unintelligent? Ignorant? Just plain mean?

Anonymous, you should be ashamed of your unconscionable ignorance. ANYONE can lose their job and be unable to make mortgage payments that were well within their means prior to a layoff. You're a complete idiot if you don't know that.
