Lest you think ALL my life is Hell
This whole job loss-mortgage-short sale thing has been a truly big bummer, that's for sure. But before you begin to think I've lost all perspective, let me tell you about some good things:
1. Twin #1 is doing an exceptional job as Chava in the High School's production of Fiddler on the Roof, AND got a 4.0 this quarter.
2. Twin #2 lettered in varsity soccer, as a 10th grader, while maintaining a 3.8.
3. This little rental we live in is mighty convenient.
4. My husband Johnny C. is flat-out the hardest working man I've ever met, and he's mighty handy too. Add handsome to that list as well.
5. I like my job
6. I have the best real-life and internet friends and I'm mighty grateful for each and every one of them.
7. Cupcake made the 5th grade student council.
8. Thanksgiving with my extended family is coming up which means plenty of fabulous food, laughter, hugs, and love.
9. I finally made a decent pot roast with gravy.
10. We're safe and warm

Only a 3.8. Is Twin #2 not applying herself? :o) I wish I had done so well.
We need your hardworking and handsome husband for another set of jobs at the cabin. How does he feel about bathrooms?
You are awesome, and so if your whole family. Congrats to all three girls for their amazing accomplishments!!!
Congratulations to your girls, and to you and hubby for all you have done while going through some tough times!
That's great. It sounds like your kids are really resilient and handling the stress of change really well. That's so hard to do.
Fantastic! We should all take some time to write a list like this. I am so proud of you and your family!
michaelg- Her husband is taking care of business at my house right now! I feel so lucky!
Hello there!
...not sure how I fell onto your site; maybe the 'job loss' wording, but I stayed to read your list. And that's what all of us need to be doing right now. List the good things in life and focus on the positive.
When I was "set free" (laid off) from my job, I was told: "This is a new chapter in your life. WRITE ONE HELL OF A CHAPTER!" And I
did just that! Those few words keep me focused on the positive.
So if you know someone who just needs a break from the doom and gloom, let me send you the link to a FREE cover-to-cover book download...no strings attached, really!

Yes, times are tough, but it doesn't mean that we can't still give back to one another. Sharing my story with you is simply my way...
take care,

You are an amazing woman!! I was going to say something similar to Michael, what the heck is wrong with Twin #2..........slacker....lol. The girls are doing so well, all of them, and that doesn't come from nothing, you are an amazing mom.
Duly noted.
