VINTAGE Family Slides!

I came back from Iowa with the best possession ever - a flash drive full of old family slides!
And proof of some of the BEST TOYS OF CHILDHOOD!
Above we have me opening my treasured Crissy doll circa 1969

Me again, in the dark hair, with my beloved Mattel vanity in the background, with the styrofoam stool still intact. You can see my mother totally gave up on pajamas - we always wore what we wanted.

This one's for Skyler's Dad - look at that Major Matt Mason space station and moon crawler!

Here's a favorite Xmas for Cheesecake Maven and Sister #3 - the year they got majorette boots, batons and shaggy sweater vests. That's me in my fab new inflatable chair.

Another great year - when we got an "indoor trampoline" that poofed up a whiff of icky rubber innertube whenever you landed on it. And no I don't have a gimpy eye - it's just a weird photo.

And here's a classic family shot thrown in for fun - my Uncle Steve hitched up to Beauty, at the family farm.

Get ready for a whole year of family slides!

What a treasure!

I like the Chrissy picture. Her dress was so short you could see her butt cheeks.

Is that lovely Winnie?? Winnie must have been a really young thing in that pic.

MG-it is indeed Winnie!! And she was about 1 year old in the pic.

thanks for the pics, Sis!

That little white milk bottle that the toddler is holding in the second picture, wow, does that ever bring back memories. What a great gift.

Funny isn't it how people's old pictures have very similar looks. Have you see those greeting cards made with old pictures? It reminds us of how much we really are all the same. That should be a good lesson in itself.

That farm house sure looks like a classic.

What great pictures! Loooking forward to seeing the rest of them! And yes, PS is right, all our old pictures do look very similar!

Will have to digitize some of the ones I confiscated when we cleaned out my mom's house and post them too.

All those toys sell for big bucks on ebay these days... if only we hadn't played with them, we'd all be rich..

I still have my beloved, fire crotched Crissy doll. And I can still crank her hair back into the crown of her head, then push her belly button and rip it back out.

OMG I had one of those trampolines and I have been searching for one for my brother for years! They are nowhere to be found. In fact this was the 1st time I ever had anything pop up on a Google search for one! I wish my mom took pix, shes still so bad at it to this day! We had a blast INSIDE that thing... cuz one of the straps broke right away so we decided to get inside and roll each other in it all the time, till my brother ran into a wall nail and that was the end of that toy:(
