So gas prices are going up again? Just in time for Memorial Day and the summer vacation season. Who is surprised?

What are they going to blame it on this time? John and Kate Plus 8 and their extramarital affairs? Maybe it's the AIG bailout. No, no, it's the price of corn. No, wait, it's Miss California's hatred of gay marriage. No, it's the gays themselves! Maybe it's Elizabeth Edwards' new book. Probably it's Bill Clinton. At the very least they can blame the Socialist/Democrat Black Dude in the White House.
Because, after all, we all know it's not plain old GREED.

I nearly passed out today, one gas station, $2.32.......dear lord, it was $2.15 2 weeks ago!! Greed is the answer, those oil companies will be making record profits again!

Blame AL Franken before Normy gets to it...because it is NOT the oil companies and their cronies trying to squeeze a little more blood from the middle class turnip.
It's definitely greed. Let's just hope that the higher prices will keep people from going all silly and driving too much, depleting reserves and driving the costs up to the $4.00 mark again.
Having said that, the jump from $1.91 to $2.15 in a week seems ridiculous.
I don't know how they can get away with it. I just hope someday there are tons of alternatives to fossil fuels so it won't matter anymore.
they are just gearing us up so that we can get ready to pay $3 a gallon for the big holiday weekend later this month. that's all. they're gonna stick it to us so hard that one day soon, we'll be thinking $2 is a bargain!
