Yep, I love Halloween.
Minnesota at this time of year casts the perfect spell for All Soul's Eve. The sky is streaked with purple clouds, the leaves are almost gone revealing stark bare branches. The smell of rotting or burning leaves is hovering. It's perfect.
We carved our pumpkins Thursday night. Mine turned out pretty good - not quite the masterpieces pictured here but good 'nuff for the candy beggars.
Come knock on my door tonight - I have Milk Duds, Twizzlers, and Whoppers!

You add Reese's Peanut Butter cups to that list and I'll put a costume on and drive up there to ring your doorbell!
Happy Halloween!
Boo!
We're carving pumpkins today. Love, love that jack-o-lantern smell. And now, out of the blue, Slim decided he wants to go trick or treating for the first time in about four years. What the hell kind of costume am I supposed to come up with on such short notice?
I love Halloween too! We're invited to some friends' house (near NNS and Sibley School) for dinner tonight and (very minimal) trick-or-treating on their block (at 2 and 4 years old, they don't need--and can't take--much), but if we have any time to spare we'll swing by your house before heading home just to say hi and show off your hand-me-down witchy costume on Julia! (Genevieve's a ladybug--if we can get her to wear her costume.)
Kirby - I saw this great idea last night. Put all kinds of bizarre mismatching costumey things on him with a sign that says "100% recycled costume".
Yum! Milk Duds! Happy Halloween!
I know we have Duds & Whoppers, too, but not Twizzlers. I love red licorice! Happy Halloween, MNMom!
I love milk Duds!
We are going to a Halloween wedding. Pictures to come!
Happy Halloween!
