I couldn't do it. I just couldn't do it. Call me your crusty old cynic friend, but I got about a third of the way through it and was tensing up for Bob Dylan to jump in with We Are the World and had to make it stop. I do like the lyrics though. Perhaps a disco version would be more palatable.
Oh, I liked it. I have my cynical moments too, but I feel so depressed about the state of our country these days that I'm ironically totally open to heartfelt pleas for change. They don't feel sappy to me anymore; they feel desperate.
