I have this theory.
So we all agree that the uber rich ruling class and their political toys are hoarding cash, energy resources, land, etc as fast as their grubby little hands can manage. Do you suppose it's because they realize, better than the working and middle class, that oil production and therefore fossil fuels will soon dwindle and we'll be thrown into an economic tsunami that will make The Great Depression look like a parlor game?

And I just threw up.
You may be on to something. Remember that land that the Bush Crime Family bought down in Uraguay? Sitting on top of a huge ass aquifer. I know it sounds kind of conspiracy theory-esque, but I think we're going to be fighting wars for water in our lifetime.
I wish I know what the hell was going on with our economy. Paying for gas is killing me....I'm trying to save on everything else.
ARGH!!!
"a huge ass aquifer"
I for one don't want to be near when they tap into that one. But surely the methane output will be phenomenal.
Limited resources driving people to seize what they can and hope that everyone else will eliminate themselves?
It's been done before. You may be on to something.
It makes as much sense as most things I have heard.
Yes, and it's oh so sad. I try to ride my bike as much as possible. The less energy dependent we all are, the better.
I'm with Lisa on this, ugh.
