Sigh . . .

Just dropped off my brother and his family at the airport. They are headed to Myrtle Beach for the week, in an oceanfront beach house no less. (insert heavy sigh). I could just feel their excitement and anticipation of leaving all this browness behind and arriving tonight at the ocean.

At my house, we could ALL use a vacation. Actually what we need is a little warm breeze, some sunshine, and surroundings that aren't gray, brown, white, and muddy. Is that too much to ask? And for added contrast, we're expecting a heavy snow storm tonight. (insert another deep sigh).

But everyday brings a new chance, and new opportunities.
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming . . . .

It's not warm enough to enjoy the ocean yet, if that's any consolation.

I'm with you! I have had enough of chilly, gray, brown, muddy weather, and the idea of more cold and snow at this point makes me want to scream. But let's keep plugging along, because as I keep telling myself, ONE of these weeks everything will be a whole lot better. In every way.

I am so in agreement! In fact I am thinking of whining about it on my blog. Where is spring?

I've noticed more and more people are begging for sunshine and warmth this year. We have all been beat down pretty good this winter I guess. We can all dream about those ocean breezes and warm sunshine for now.

girl i nearly died when we woke up this morning and there was snow on the ground. i wanted to pack up and move. leave the house here, bed, furniture, everything. my husband knew it too! because he got online and continental was having a special on tickets to houston. 198.00 round trip, no stops. girl, now we will be eating spam for the next month and a half, but at the end of this month, we're going to houston. that's just all there is to it. it's about 100 degrees there today, sunny and not a cloud in the sky. the pga tour is there today and we were watching the match and folks out there were sweating. i don't even know if my sweat ducts work anymore!

See? That's always my excuse for not moving further North. The Winter lasts that much longer and I'm sick of it by February. Of course, it's below zero here right now, so maybe I need to move further South instead.
