If I did this, I don't think anyone would pay

Again with those Wisconsin folks!!

RACINE, Wis. -- A Racine man is accused of faking his own kidnapping and trying to get his mother to wire him ransom money. Police say 23-year-old James Williams sent his mother a text message Monday night, saying that he had been kidnapped and that his abductors were demanding $250 or they would kill him. Authorities say Williams' mother received at least nine text messages demanding that $250 be wired by Western Union to a Milwaukee Wal-Mart. She was told her son would be beaten and shot if she did not comply. Williams' mother called police and a trace was put on Williams' phone. Detectives say they found the messages were coming from Williams' phone near Interstate 94 in Kenosha County. Police found Williams alone in his mother's van on Highway 50.

Whenever I have some time alone in my van, I like to have a good book and a nice hot mocha with me. Suppose he did too?

$250?? This is clearly a case of low, low self esteem. I would be worth at least $295.
Yup. Only in Wisconsin.

I hope he at least had some potato chips.

That is too dang funny! What a dork! I would hope for at least a $500 ransom... all I would get is some smack from a couple 20yr old plus daughters! Have a nice day!

I'd pay to get you back. Then you'd have to pay me pack.

If I knew where you were parked I'd bring mocha's and books and we could sit there all day reading.

sounds like heaven.

I don't even have anyone to fake my kidnapping to. Although, faking my own kidnapping in order to sit in a van and reading sounds really attractive to me right now.

Seriously, the first thing I thought was "He only asked for $250??? Hasn't he EVER watched a movie about a kidnapping? It's always in the tens of thousands!"

This is INSANE. You just have to wonder about that back story.

He was reading "The Ransom of Red Chief," but clearly he missed the point.

$250 is a low, low price, all right (even in Wisconsin), but I want to know what he was gonna use the money for. You can barely drive out of the state for that money!

girl my husband would pay for them to keep me away from the house. he surely wouldn't pay a wet food stamp dollar to get me back home. he might send them a thank you card for taking me off his hands!
