1. The weather is below zero. My teens leave the house in only a hooded sweatshirt, no hat, no mittens. I ask "it that all you are wearing outside?" They answer "Yeah, because I don't want to look dumb!"
2. Youngest struggles for over a minute each trying to force her feet into closed snowboots. I ask "Why don't you unlatch the velcro, THEN put them on?" She answers "Because that would take too long!"

Argh! Hooded sweatshirt?! Kill me now! I will never survive my girls' adolescence! I will have terminal ulcers, for sure. Hooded sweatshirt!!! It is BELOW ZERO OUTSIDE! Help, I'm hyperventilating now. And it's not even my kid.
girl now that's funny. "i don't want to look dumb!" ha ha ha ha! i'm lauging because i remember as a kid not wanting to wear a coat because i didn't want to look dumb! now i won't go out the house when it's this cold unless i'm wearing two coats, three pair of underware and heated socks!!!

My Grandfather and I both refuse to untie/buckle our shoes when taking them off or putting them on.
He lived 94 years with that attitude, I think I could achieve the same. :)

The people in the office on the other side of the wall just banged on the wall to ask me to laugh more quietly.
Unlike my wife, this makes me laugh. I'll still be giggling when I drive them to the ER for frostnipped ears.
