SENATOR AL FRANKEN!!

Lord it sounds good to say that for real this time. Can't wait to see him take on the GOP lie machine. This is just so completely great that I can't stop grinning.

Norm Coleman can please just disappear now, OK? I have a feeling Minnesota, and the entire US, haven't heard the last from his lying mouth and his giant white teeth.

There's a celebration rally tomorrow at noon on the Capital steps. I might cancel a few things, load up the kids, and GO!!!!

Senator Al Franken

Al Franken has won . . . again. For the love of God, Norm, go the hell away!! When Joe Scarborough tells Norm to give it up, you KNOW this has become seriously ridiculous. He's a greedy SOB who wants his seat back, even if the voters and the state elections/recount process have clearly shown Al Franken to be the winner. I also think he's being ordered by the Limbaugh/Satan/GOP cabal to hang on so the Democrats have one less vote in the Senate.

Norm Coleman's Minnesota Goodbye

Norm Coleman is doing the "Minnesota Goodbye." That's when your last party guest is about to leave and finally go home but instead they linger by your half-opened front door to chat. "Well, it's getting late, Norm. ... Thanks for coming. ... Yup, talk to you later, Norm. ... I need to close the door now, Norm, because the cat might get out and there's a cold draft coming in. ... OK, goodbye ... I've got a really early morning tomorrow, Norm. ... Yes, bye-bye now ... Drive home safely, Norm." Now your guest is in your driveway continuing to talk so loudly you're afraid he'll wake the neighbors. Tired and shivering by your open door, you wonder if this guy is ever going to leave and go home.

ADDENDUM at 2:45 p.m.:

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Al Franken's lead in the U.S. Senate race has increased by 87 votes as a result of the counting of absentee ballots in a St. Paul courtroom today. Franken led Norm Coleman by 225 votes going into Tuesday's count. Franken gained 198 votes from the hundreds of absentees that the judges allowed to be counted for the first time. Coleman gained 111 votes and 42 votes were for other candidates. This extends Franken's lead to 312 votes.

A Minnesota New Year's Resolution

My New Year's resolution is to stick a sock in the mouth of anyone who claims Al Franken is not my legitimate senator! That includes you Norm Coleman, especially you. And that sock will be sweaty, dirty, and smelly - just like your politics.

If you can stomach it, watch what he said on Nov. 5th about any recount and the results.

From local news : Al Franken's main competition for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate dropped out Monday, giving the comedian-turned-candidate a major boost. Franken and lawyer Mike Ciresi were vying for the party's endorsement to take on Republican Sen. Norm Coleman in November. Coleman is seeking a second term. Franken has raised millions more in campaign funds and lined up most of the important union endorsements, but Ciresi's impressive resume as a trial attorney and personal wealth positioned him as a potential spoiler to Franken's ambition. Ciresi's statement that he was dropping out indicated he didn't think he could catch up to Franken's lead in rounding up the support of Democratic delegates, who will confer their endorsement at the state party convention in June. Both Franken and Ciresi vowed not to run in the primary election without the party endorsement.

You know what this means - VOTE FOR AL!!!!!
